Weekend Market: Teal

The San Jose Sharks hockey team was founded when I was about 10 years old. I had zero interest in the sport, but I hated their team colors. I thought the pairing of teal and black was the most hideous combination I’d ever seen. This is extremely ironic because teal is now one of my favorite colors and I often wear it with the many black basics in my wardrobe. To make up for my misguided youth, I will make this Weekend Market a celebration of this vivid yet soothing color. Left: Dancing Rabbits’ brooch is cute, whimsical and surreal; Above right: Raw’s cotton scarf will add a burst of color to damp winter day outfits; Middle right: I love the combination of colors in Sarah & Roya’s passport holder; Bottom right: Check out that hungry gator on BuChu’s tote bag!

Weekend Market: Teal 2

Right: Pinkoi vendor OldNew Lady carries a mix of handmade jewelry and vintage items, including this desk fan; above left: Another great leather accessory in a beautiful shade of teal by Sarah and Roya; middle left: Younga is a small boutique that imports African wax print fabric and turns it into eye-catching dresses and accessories; bottom left: Chiuzen’s notebook covers feature prints and paintings by the label’s owner.
All of these items are listed on Pinkoi, which now has an English front page and a handy Chinese-to-English translation tool on each listing.
